You may engage in a larger or smaller initiative ranging from participation in pilots, shape the standard, and use real supplier data to drive your Scope 3 reductions.

No one can confront the climate crisis in isolation. As a global, interconnected challenge, it demands collective action. That's why MASSIV+ is now moving from concept to shared infrastructure — enabling businesses to act together across entire value chains.
MASSIV+ is a joint industrial initiative that makes climate data shareable, accessible and actionable. The purpose is to address one of industry's biggest challenges by establishing a common method and digital infrastructure for collecting, structuring, calculating, sharing and using sustainability data – turning climate data into real action.
How to engage with MASSIV+
MASSIV+ brings together companies and organizations with different roles in the value chain. Engagement can take different forms depending on your context and readiness:
Share Scope 1–2 data in a simple, low-effort way and gain access to tools and guidance that significantly reduce administrative burden.

Get in touch →Contribute to alignment, interoperability, and scaling of trusted climate data infrastructure.
Get in touch →Tracking Scope 1 and 2 emissions is actionable
- Tracking scope 1 and 2, sharing and collaborating around your own actions can decrease everyone's emissions
- With a dataset, data sharing and AI-guided digital platform we can support everyone to act
One company's scope 1 and 2 becomes the next scope 3

MASSIV+ is developed as a neutral, non-proprietary ecosystem, with decentralized data ownership and governance designed to prevent lock-in and ensure trust across the value chain.
MASSIV+ is a shared standard and digital infrastructure that enables companies to use climate data to make decisions, reduce emissions, and strengthen competitiveness across entire value chains. It is not a reporting solution — it is a decision and action ecosystem where sustainability data is used to reduce cost, steer investment, and prioritize supplier engagement.

MASSIV+ is an initiative launched in 2022 by Microsoft, Alfa Laval, SKF, Sandvik, IKEA and Volvo Cars. Today, it brings together partners from industry, academia, financial institutions and public organizations. Development and collaboration are now taking place in shared environments together with partners.

With recent funding from the Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova, MASSIV+ is accelerating — turning a proven concept into infrastructure for climate data across industries and borders. The project is coordinated by GU Ventures together with the initiating partners. Icons Of leads the technical development. The project consortium further includes FKG, EY, Nitator, Texla, HAVD Group, Heléns Rör, Preem, Vectura, Nordea, Mobility Sweden, Altiro Consulting, Ovako and the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. A new legal entity, Massivplus AB, together with a forthcoming economic association, will serve as the permanent home for the results and the broader MASSIV+ initiative.
If you are interested in engaging, we invite you to start a dialogue with the MASSIV+ team.
We're building an ecosystem for real impact. MASSIV+ is a growing movement for companies ready to act. We are actively engaging companies and organizations that want to move from ambition to action.
